Hero Feature Story

For EMAC Basics of Reporting

Define what it means for somebody to be a hero or heroic. Then, make a list of people you know (think of friends, family, teachers, neighbors, coaches, etc.) which meet your definition of being a hero.

You are going to interview this person and tell their story about why they are a hero. Interview other sources with unique insight into why your subject a hero. Your story will be a minimum of 500 words but try to avoid writing to a word count.

Remember, don’t just summarize their life. Focus on what specifically makes them a hero and tell their story. Be a story-teller and capture the essence of your hero.
