For The Sidekick newspaper
Sidekick students and parents,
Our largest fundraiser of the year (we are allowed two) is a “Garage Sale” on Saturday, April 28 from 7 a.m. – 12 p.m. We are finalizing the location, but it expected to be in parking lot adjacent to 7-Eleven and Sprouts in Coppell.
We need all students to attend unless they have a prior commitment, which requires a note, email or phone call from a parent. This is not a fundraiser where students have to sell anything in advance or supply The Sidekick with any money. Rather, we ask that each student donate at least one full box of items to sell at the Garage Sale. Hopefully, this gives you the opportunity to get rid of some items taking up space in your garage or attic.
Students and parents are welcome to supply as many items as they wish in addition to the one box. Please know that all proceeds will be deposited into The Sidekick activity account which funds the program.
It is important to know that all items must be brought to the Garage Sale by 7 a.m. on the 28th and they cannot be left at school or given to Mr. Wofford in advance as we do not have the means to transport the items to the site. If you cannot bring your items to the Garage Sale, students must make arrangements with other students to have it delivered on the day of the sale.
All items which remain unsold will be donated to charity. If you wish to collect any items which do not sell, please do so at 12 p.m. on the day of the sale before they are loaded on the donation truck.
If you have any folding/portable tables of any type you could let us borrow for the sale, we would greatly appreciate it. Also, parents, if you would like to assist with the sale we could certainly use more adult/parent supervision and your assistance would be very helpful.
Please let me know if you have any questions – thanks so much for your help!
